([Psalm of David]) The earth and all it contains the world and those who dwell in it belong to Jehovah. For He has ordained it upon the seas and decreed it upon the rivers.

Behold, heaven and the highest heavens belong to Jehovah your God, even the earth and all that is in it.

Who has preceded me that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is mine.

The princes of the people have assembled as the people of the God of Abraham. For the rulers (shields) (protectors) of the earth belong to God! He has ascended to the heights.

The heavens and the earth are yours. You have founded the world and all it contains.

The life of every person belongs to me. The life of the father as well as the life of the son is mine. The person who sins will die.

Is this how you repay Jehovah, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father and creator, who made you and formed you?

I will say to the north, 'Give them up,' and to the south, 'do not keep them. Bring my sons from far away and my daughters from the ends of the earth. Bring everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.'

What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? That one (Greek: hos he ho which, that one) is in you. You received it from God. You are not your own. You are bought with a price! Therefore glorify God in your body.

I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt. Do not have any other god.

I am Jehovah your God. I brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Do not have any other god but me.

The Israelites belong to me! They are my servants. I brought them out of Egypt. I am Jehovah your God!'

Jehovah created Jacob and formed Israel. Jehovah says: Do not be afraid for I have reclaimed you. I have called you by my name. You are mine.

For if we live, we live to God and if we die, we die to God. Therefore should we live or die, we are God's.

Seek (desire) (require) (serve) first the kingdom of God and his righteousness [continuously] and all these things will be added to you.

Consecrate (appoint) (sanctify) all the first-born males to me. Every first-born male Israelite and every first-born male animal belongs to me!

Every first male offspring is mine. The firstborn males of all your livestock, whether cattle, sheep, or goats are mine.

A firstborn animal already belongs to Jehovah because it was born first. Therefore, it cannot be set apart as holy. Whether it is a bull or a sheep, it belongs to Jehovah.

because every firstborn is mine. The day I killed every firstborn male in Egypt, I set apart as holy every firstborn in Israel, whether human or animal. They will be mine. I am Jehovah.

As well as the first of our sons and of our cattle, as it is recorded in the law. The first lambs of our herds and of our flocks, which are to be taken to the house of our God, to the priests who are servants in the house of our God:

When you enter the land Jehovah your God gives you as an inheritance you will possess it and live in it. Jesus told him: You shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart (Greek: kardia: feelings, emotions), and with all your being, and with your entire mind (Greek: dianoia: understanding). (Deuteronomy 6:5)

You should love Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your being (with every breath you take) (your life), with your entire mind and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

I am Jehovah your God! You must obey my teachings. Obey them and you will live. I am Jehovah.

Obey all my laws and all my rules, and live by them. I am Jehovah!'

Carefully obey my commandments. Conform your life to them. I am Jehovah.

I am Jehovah your God! Walk in my statutes and obey my ordinances.

I am Jehovah! I brought you out of Egypt to be your God. Be holy because I am holy.

Tell the entire congregation of Israel: 'Be holy because I, Jehovah your God, am holy.

Respect your mother and father. Observe my days of worship. I am Jehovah your God!

Keep the religious festivals and honor the place where I am worshiped. I am Jehovah.

Sanctify my Sabbaths. They shall be a sign between you, and me that you may know that I am Jehovah your God.'

Do not turn to worthless gods or cast metal idols. Never make any gods for yourselves. I am Jehovah your God.

Sometime ago Theudas claimed to be somebody. About four hundred men joined and obeyed him. He was killed and they finally dispersed.

A certain man called Simon was in the same city. He used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, telling everyone that he was great.

Claiming to be wise, they became fools.

I know your works, and your labor, and your patience. I also know how you cannot tolerate those who are evil. You tested those who say they are apostles. They are not apostles. You found them to be liars.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith but he does not have works? Can that faith save him?

Most men proclaim their own loyalty; but who can find a trustworthy man?

They profess that they know God; but deny him by their works! They are detestable, disobedient, and not approved for any good work.

If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not live (practice) the truth.

He that says he lives in union with him should walk as he walked.

Absalom would say: My friend, the law is on your side. However, there is no representative of the king to hear your case.

The Israelites replied: We have ten times as many claims on King David as you have! We know he is one of you. Why do you look down on us? Do not forget that we were the first to talk about bringing the king back! The men of Judah were more violent in making their claims than the men of Israel.

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

Do not make idols or set up statues, stone pillars, or carved stones to worship. I am Jehovah your God!

When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All nations will be gathered before him. He will then separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

I answered them: The God of heaven will be our help; so we, his servants, will go on with our building. But you have no part or right or any name in Jerusalem.

I said to you: 'I am Jehovah your God. You should not worship the gods of the Amorites, whose land you are now living in. But you have not listened to me.'

They do not talk about peace. Instead, they scheme against the peaceful people in the land.

You have given him authority over all flesh that he may give everlasting life to the ones whom you have given him.

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they separate you from their company, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

He was given the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened the book and found the place where it was written: The Spirit of Jehovah is upon me. He anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him. Today, he said, you heard this scripture fulfilled.

Jesus said: I tell you the truth, I existed before Abraham was born! (Ex 3:14, 15)

If Satan is divided against himself how will his kingdom stand? You say I cast out demons with the help of Beelzebub. If Beelzebub helps me cast out demons, who helps your sons cast them out? They will be your judges. If I use the finger (power) (Spirit) (Exodus 31:18) (2 Corinthians 3:3) of God to cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you?

He explained to them all the Scriptures about the things concerning him. He spoke about Moses and all the prophets.

Jesus replied: I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not hunger. The one who puts active faith in me will never thirst.

If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How will his kingdom stand? If I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Let them be your judges. But if I cast out demons by God's Spirit, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world. He that follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

You search (investigate) (study) the Scriptures because you think that in them you have everlasting life. These Scriptures testify about me.

Why not say, Let us do evil so that good may come? Some people have insulted me by accusing me of saying this very thing! They should be condemned and they will be.

Jesus explained: I am the door of the sheep.

They accused him, saying: We found this man perverting our nation. He forbids payment of tax to Caesar. He claims to be Christ a king.

Do not be called master (teacher) (leader), for only one is your master, and he is Christ.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies.

Whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ's, most assuredly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.

If you are the Christ, tell us. But he said to them: If I tell you, you will not believe:

Jesus proclaimed: I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through me.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the cultivator.

The woman responded: I know that Christ the Messiah is coming. When he comes he will tell us all things. Jesus said: I that speak to you am he.

I said to you that you would die in your sins. Unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins! Who are you, they asked. Jesus replied: What have I been telling you from the beginning? They were not aware that he spoke to them about the Father. Jesus said: When you have lifted up (impaled) the Son of man you will know that I am that person. I do nothing by myself! I speak what the Father taught me! He sent me and is with me. He has not left me alone. I always do the things that are pleasing to him! Many believed when he said these things.

Jesus stood before the governor. He asked him: Are you the King of the Jews? Jesus said to him: It is as you say.

Believe me that I am with the Father and the Father is with me, or else believe me because of the works.

Pilate questioned him: Are you the king of the Jews? Jesus answered: You say so.

Pilate asked him: Are you King of the Jews? He answered him: You say it.

They set their mouth in the heavens and their tongue parades through the earth.

If any of my people or a prophet or a priest even uses the words: 'Jehovah's infallable utterance,' I will punish them and their families.

As a result of this Pilate sought to release him. The Jews cried out: If you release this man you are not Caesar's friend. Every one that makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.

The Jews answered him: We do not stone you for good work but for blasphemy. You are a man and you make yourself like God. (John 1:1)

Many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

Many will come in my name (Greek: onoma: claiming my authority), saying, I am he; and will lead many astray.

The Jews answered him: We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

He said: Take heed that you are not led astray. Many will come in my name, saying, I am he but the time is not at hand. Do not follow them.

Jesus said nothing. The high priest said to him: I put you on oath, by the living God, that you will tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus said to him: You said it yourself. And I say to you, after this you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven.

But he kept quiet and said nothing. Again the high priest questioned him: Are you the Christ, the son of the Holy One? Jesus said: I am and you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.

They all asked: Are you the Son of God? He said to them: You say that I am.

He trusts in God. Let him save him now if he wants him. After all he said: I am the Son of God.

Why does this man speak this way? He blasphemes for only God is the one who can forgive sins.

The scribes and the Pharisees reasoned saying: Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

The Father and I are one (united in purpose).

Jesus responded: Have I been with you so long a time and you do not know me Philip? He who has seen me has discerned (experienced) (perceived) the Father. And you say, show us the Father?
